Lean research for development?
LEAN Research |
This is my first post of some other posts I will be writing on a latest discovery although not new to the research enthusiasts.
I met Pastor, Nana Ama Tipa, a researcher and lecturer at the Baptist University, Ghana in Kumasi.
I was asking her couple of question that I am worried about as a youth in Africa.
One of my concern was how we can get a less daunt approach to research in Africa that is focused, inexpensive and sizeable and more importantly results in development decisions and actions in the lives of the research subjects.
She quickly intervened and hinted on the progress being made with a research alternative called LEAN RESEARCH . It is an initiative by the MIT D-lad in collaboration with The Fletcher School at TUFTS University University.
Lean research is an approach and an alternative to scientific inquiry which is particular about for things; rigour, relevance, respect and right-sized.
This seemed interesting and I probed to find out more.
Other posts analysis this discovery that aims to speed up research activities and improve its impacts in developing regions will be discussed in detailed.
Thanks for reading
